ANECDOTED CITY is a crowd-sourced collection of objects of Detroit. 1/X is collaborating with Salt & Cedar Letterpress Studio in the Eastern Market to create a space to house and catalogue the collection of objects, and give residents, designers, and artists an opportunity to contribute to and engage the material of the city. We hope the show will accumulate the complex, conflicting and exuberant character of the city.

Anyone can submit an object. The items can represent personal connections, daily rituals, anecdotal associations, favorite spots or any other reason that an object that says Detroit to you; they can be objects that you come in contact with in the city lovingly or without notice.
